# Mobile App Download and Installation

### Who Needs the Mobile App?

The eStela Mobile App is required for:

* Sailors who want to track their boat during a regatta
* Committees and race organizers who need to set up and manage tracking sessions from the water or on shore
* Spectators do not need the app — they can follow live sessions or replays directly from any browser.

### Where to Download

The app is available for free on:

* Apple App Store
* Google Play Store

Search for “eStela” on your phone or tablet, or ask your tracking administrator to send you a direct installation link.

### App Setup

To use the app, you’ll need to enter the access key provided by your tracking administrator. Each boat gets a unique key, which links the device to that specific entry in the session.

### How to Start Tracking

Once installed, enter your access key and tap `Activate tracking` just before the starting signal. For the full procedure — including tracking duration options and the settings that keep tracking uninterrupted — see Transmitting Location Data.

### Extra Features

* To switch or add another boat, tap “Change boat”
* To report a bug, tap “Report an error” from the app menu
