Mobile App Download and Installation

Who Needs the Mobile App?

The eStela Mobile App is required for:

  • Sailors who want to track their boat during a regatta

  • Committees and race organizers who need to set up and manage tracking sessions from the water or on shore

  • Spectators do not need the app — they can follow live sessions or replays directly from any browser.

Where to Download

The app is available for free on:

  • Apple App Store

  • Google Play Store

Search for “eStela” on your phone or tablet, or ask your tracking administrator to send you a direct installation link.

App Setup

To use the app, you’ll need to enter the access key provided by your tracking administrator. Each boat gets a unique key, which links the device to that specific entry in the session.

How to Start Tracking

  1. Open the app and enter the access key

  2. Just before the starting signal, tap “Activate tracking”

  3. Make sure the phone: • Stays connected to power • Is placed stationary on the boat — not in your pocket

Extra Features

  • To switch or add another boat, tap “Change boat”

  • To report a bug, tap “Report an error” from the app menu
